Founded in 2013, EQ Technologies' original location was a residential Smart Home dedicated to showcasing the latest in audio, video, and smart home technologies. Also at the cutting edge of energy efficiency; it became the first in Ohio to be certified by the Passive House Institute of the US.

In 2021, EQ moved locations to North Ridgeville which allowed for open retail hours, along with a larger and more innovative space.
